All Humberside Police job vacancies available at the moment

Humberside Police are on a massive recruitment drive for a host of roles within the force.

While Constable and Call Manager roles are advertised, the majority of jobs listed are primarily administrative and part of the behind the scenes personnel team of the force.

All but one of the 19 advertised roles have application deadlines which expire no later than March 1, 2022, meaning time is running out for anyone looking to change careers in Humberside Police.

One of the roles is voluntary, that of being a special constable in the Humberside area.

Although the expected number of hours per week is only four, the job description indicates a high level of commitment required: “This is not a standard volunteer role – you are required to undertake a minimum of 26 full-day training sessions (mainly weekends) to qualify to become a special constable.

“It means giving up your free time and committing to a training program of around 6 months. You have to be available for every training session.”

The advertised position of health and wellbeing adviser is the position with the highest salary range, between £35,484 and £38,376 prorated.

The successful candidate must be a qualified trauma therapist and will provide mental health support to Humberside Police officers and staff.

Other paid roles announced include communications officer, equality, diversity and inclusion adviser, driver trainer and office assistant in Beverley, who will deal with Fixed Penalty Notices issued by Humberside Police to the drivers.

A Front Desk Officer located at Clough Road or Osborne Street in Hull is a job opportunity providing the successful candidate with regular contact with members of the public when seeking police assistance, whether as a manager calls or handling requests in person.

“You will work with minimal supervision, therefore the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, including prioritizing their own workload, and possess a level of maturity,” are advised the candidates.

Meanwhile, those with a particular passion for assisting police efforts to combat the scourge of domestic violence may find the role of domestic violence administrative assistant more eye-catching.

Previous office experience and education to GCSE standard or equivalent are requirements for this position.

One of the jobs has an extraordinarily long period to apply.

The position of Armed Response Constable, based in Melton, is advertised as open to applicants until August 12, 2023.

‘Humberside Police are looking for transferees who are currently Armed Response Officers,’ it says in the job description.

Most of the paid roles where salaries are listed are in the mid-£20,000 pay bracket, such as Talent Acquisition Officer, who would be paid between £23,817 and £26,016 for his recruitment activities for the strength.
