LCU Presents 7th Annual Values & Ethics Series November 10

Congressman Mike Johnson and his wife Kelly will speak at Louisiana Christian University’s 7e Annual Values and Ethics Series, taking place Thursday, November 10 at 6 p.m. at Guinn Auditorium.

Mike Johnson is a constitutional lawyer and represents Louisiana’s fourth congressional district. Kelly Johnson is a licensed pastoral counselor and teacher. Together they host the weekly “Truth Be Told” podcast, which offers analysis of current affairs and topics from a Christian perspective.

“I love the idea behind the Values and Ethics series, and I want every university to host a similar event,” said Congressman Johnson. “There is too little emphasis on these subjects today, and the foundations of our country are destroyed because of it. On November 10, we’ll discuss why the Founders insisted that religion and morality were essential to sustaining our republic, and how we can all work to restore those pillars before it’s too late.

LCU President Dr. Rick Brewer launched the Values and Ethics series to address relevant cultural issues through the lens of a biblical worldview and absolute truth, offering an answer that goes against of the secular progressive ideology that dominates most college campuses across the country.

“At this critical moment in the life of our nation,” Brewer said, “I can think of no one better equipped to articulate challenges to our fundamental constitutional rights and freedoms, especially attempts to thwart religious freedom, than the Congressman Mike Johnson.”

The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
