NAACP Sponsors Program on September 23 to Eliminate Employment Discrimination and Barriers to Hiring | New
MANSFIELD – The Mansfield branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People 3190 sponsors a free program with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to help employers avoid discriminatory practices and help workers understand how to file a complaint for discrimination in the workplace.
Marcel Baldwin, from the Cleveland office of the EEOC, will present the virtual program in a Zoom presentation on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm One of the goals of the presentation is to help homeowners. ‘business and HR professionals understand the laws enforced by the EEOC and how to prevent and correct discrimination in the workplace.
The program will also provide information to help workers, job seekers and advocacy groups understand their rights and the ways the EEOC can help them achieve equity in the workplace.
Topics covered in this informative presentation will include:
* EEOC and NAACP previews and updates,
* The EEOC charge and mediation processes,
* ADA / Covid, and workplace discrimination and harassment.
