Islamabad, Aug 18 (KMS): Speakers at a seminar have said that Kashmiri people living all over the world observe India’s Independence Day as a black day and that the forced and illegal occupation of Kashmir by India is a question mark for the conscience of the whole world.
The webinar was organized by Friends of Kashmir International.
Addressing the webinar, the speakers including Ghazala Habib, Chairman of Friends of Kashmir, Lord Qurban Hussain, Lord Wajid Khan of UK, Shadow Minister of UK, Dr Afazal Khan, Former MP, Shafiq Mehmood of UK, Mushaal Mallick, Former Minister Nisar Memon, Turgai Everan from Turkey, Ali Raza Syed from Belgium, Mirza Asif Jaral and Zahid Hashmi from France, Zafar Qureshi from Muzaffarabad, Mir Ghulam Mustafa from UK, Farrukh Owais Chaudhary from Mirpur , Azad Kashmir, Iftikhar Gilani, a veteran journalist and son-in-law of Syed Ali Shah Gilani from Srinagar and Tahir Khawaja from America, condemned Indian aggression and brutality.

They said Kashmiris are not safe in their homes due to draconian laws as Indian forces can kill any Kashmiris whenever and wherever they want. They take them under the pretext of a so-called search operation and kill them, they added.
Speakers highlighted the ongoing demographic changes in the occupied territory and stressed that an aggressive diplomatic strategy must be adopted to stop India’s insidious tactics and approach the International Court of Justice. They also demanded economic sanctions against India for the worst human rights abuses in the IIOJK.
